The drama series is a filmed of a real-life hospital involves the lives of the Sacred Heart Hospital staffs , and focuses on the experiences of fresh medical intern John "J.D." Dorian portrayed by Zach Braff, helped by his buddy Chris Turk portrayed by Donald Faison, the beautiful and driven Elliot Reid portrayed by Sarah Chalke. The chief of medicine, Dr. Bob Kelso portrayed by Ken Jenkins, the worldly Dr. Perry Cox portrayed by John McGinley, and the caring Carla Espinosa portrayed by Judy Reyes and also joined by the hospital janitor portrayed by Neil Flynn.
