One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age of gargoyles,a heroic Warrior monster. Stone by day, warriors by night, we were betrayed by the humans we had sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years.
One Scottish clan made interrelationship with humans to help protect the Castle Wyvern if humans would protect their stone forms by day.
The cartoon tv series aired on October 1, 1994 and May 1, 1996, It has a total number of 78 episodes , you can watch the tv episodes on dvd, Gargoyles DVD, compiled to enjoy the shows....

Gargoyles is the greatest animated series I have ever seen, and I advise any action lover to see it. Whether you like action, plot line, creativity, or even Shakespeare, you will find all of that in Gargoyles: The Best Animated Series Ever!

An animated story of betrayal...how poor the Gorgoyles is they are betrayed and turn into a stone...I love the story with a part Gothic fantasy and part contemporary urban drama...awesome...
